Praise the Lord!

January 19, 2016: 8:15 PM

Hi Dean, Lorena and the Gateway family,

The pathology report is back and the Lord has answered our prayers in

a mighty way -  everything is clear!

The cancer was only present in the first 2 mm of the uterine wall, which is 30 mm thick, so it was caught very early. My doctor is going to allow the specialist to make the final decision regarding any radiation but he said basically if it has invaded the wall less than 50% that radiation is usually not done. In his words, to sum up the reports, it doesn’t get much better than this!

What a mighty God we serve, who does so much more than we could ask or think!

I am so thankful to the Lord for bringing me through - all glory is
His in this and He has kept me in perfect peace through it all.

Thank you all for your support and prayers as I crossed this valley.

Blessings,
Cathy

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am
your God; I will strengthen you, I will help  you, I will
uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

Jackie had successful surgery in late December and returned
to Gateway-Elizabeth within two weeks!

Here's an update by Jackie herself

UPDATE ON MY CONDITION...

I AM FEELING QUITE A BIT BETTER! I KNOW IT IS ALL
YOUR PRAYERS THAT HAVE HELPED TREMENDOUSLY...
I WAS TOLD THAT I MAY LOSE MY VOICE, BE IN AGONY
AND NOT ABLE TO DO MUCH.... BUT, MY GOD IS SO
VERY GRACIOUS. I FEEL PRETTY GOOD UNDER THE
CIRCUMSTANCES, I DO HAVE A VOICE (THOUGH I CAN'T
BELLOW IT OUT!.... YET!!!)

I AM GETTING LOTS OF REST AND AM RECOVERING....
AND SO VERY THANKFUL FOR MY VERY AWESOME
HUBBY!!!! TO GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF HOW I FEEL; MY
HEAD FEELS LIKE A 100 POUND BOWLING BALL SO
MY SHOULDERS FEEL LOTS OF PRESSURE WHEN
HOLDING HEAD UP STRAIGHT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME....

I HAVE TO WORK HARD AT NOT MOVING HEAD UP,
DOWN AND SIDEWAYS TO CONTINUE TO PROMOTE
HEADING... (VERY DIFFICULT THING FOR ME, BUT
PAIN REMINDS ME NOT TO MOVE!... SO, THAT IS
PRETTY MUCH WHAT'S HAPPENING....

I FEEL LIKE A SOLDIER IN STIFFNESS AND POSTURE
I DO MARCH TO THE DRUMMING Of MY FAITHFUL GOD,
THE LORD JEHOVAH. HEALING WILL TAKE MANY MONTHS...
BUT, I AM SO VERY GLAD TO BE ALIVE AND WELL IN
THIS NEW YEAR 2016.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR PRAYERS.....  I HAVE
FELT THEM!!!

MAY THE LORD GREATLY AND BOUNTIFULLY BE YOU
AND YOUR FAMILY IN THIS NEW UPCOMING YEAR - 2016.

JACKIE

 Please pray for Cathy Horling

Cathy pictured at the Gateway display at Banquet 2012

Cathy is undergoing major surgery at Robert Wood Johnson - Somerset  Hospital at 12:30 tomorrow afternoon (January 12th)

Cathy (a CPA with the firm Ross, Anglim, Angelini & Co. Watchung, NJ) has been a Gateway volunteer since we incorporated in 1990.

She has faithfully handled our payroll for over 25 years!

For the past few years Ross, Anglim have helped numerous families with Christmas gifts and assisted in a number of client projects. This obviously is due in part to the witness Cathy has had with her employer.

A past recipient of the Andy Andersen Award at our annual Banquet, Cathy continues to serve the Lord and Gateway.

Please pray for a complete recovery; also pray for her husband Anthony and her loving family.

"Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. " 3 John 1:2
