Lorena’s mom continues to decline. She hasn’t eaten since June 3rd.
(except for a few bites of applesauce) although she drinks lots of water. She’s
very comfortable and not in pain. Lorena is doing a great job caring for
her. She looks weaker each day. We’ll
probably be in Texas in July for a memorial after an internment out on Long
Island.
My second biopsy resulted in the doctor deciding to do a radical
prostectomy (removing the prostate) He thought this was better than seed
implants because I was younger (62) and in decent health. Next week I choose
between robotic and Cyberknife surgery. Downtime should be a few weeks after a
two-four day hospital stay. Thanks for your prayers. God is always at work in
us and I’m excited as to this next step in life.
Here’s a way to pray for us..
9 “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray
for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all
spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a
manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good
work and increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 May you be
strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance
and patience with joy, 12 giving thanks to the
Father, who has qualified you[b] to share in the inheritance of the
saints in light. 13 He has delivered us from the domain of
darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in
whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:9-14 / English Standard Version (ESV)
